In 2020, the Fukuoka Prefecture Space Business Study Group was established by industry, academia, and government in order to allow companies in the prefecture to enter the space business and to create space business-related products and services originating in the prefecture. Tokio Marine has been recognized as a major insurer in international space insurance market for decades and supported the industry since 1970s with delivering space insurance and risk consulting service. UNISEC is a non-profit, non-governmental organization to support and promote practical space development activities in universities and colleges. Currently, UNISEC is engaged in a wide range of activities including international cooperation.
